From tech products and services to startups and impactful initiatives, 59 applications were submitted to MITP Awards 2026 this year. The application period for the third edition closed on September 15, following two and a half months during which companies and teams from the Republic of Moldova had the opportunity to showcase their solutions. Following the eligibility check conducted by Moldova Innovation Technology Park, 49 applications were validated and are now moving into the jury evaluation stage.

Beyond the numbers, this year’s applications also offer an interesting snapshot of the direction in which Moldova’s tech ecosystem is evolving. Best Product Innovation attracted the highest number of entries, with 24 eligible applications, while artificial intelligence is integrated into a significant share of the solutions submitted. Healthtech, gaming, and agritech are also strongly represented, reflecting the growing diversity of areas in which technology developed in Moldova is addressing real-world challenges and needs.

“The 59 applications reflect not only the growing interest in MITP Awards, but also the way Moldova’s tech ecosystem is evolving. We are seeing more solutions integrating artificial intelligence, products developed in areas such as healthtech, and, more broadly, teams using technology to address real-world challenges. Compared to previous editions, we are seeing greater diversity among the solutions submitted, and we are eager to discover which of them will make it to the final. Now comes one of the most important stages - the jury evaluation,” says Marina Bzovîi, Administrator of Moldova Innovation Technology Park.

Applications Move to Jury Evaluation

Following the eligibility check conducted by MITP, the validated applications will be submitted to a jury of local and international experts with experience in technology, entrepreneurship, investment, and innovation ecosystem development.

The jury includes Anastasiia Kravchenko-Uhrekhelidze, Deputy Head of Projects at the Ukrainian Startup Fund; Piret Hirv, AI and data management expert at the e-Governance Academy in Estonia; Vitalie Eșanu, CEO of Evisoft; and Andrada Ionescu, General Manager of Glovo Moldova, alongside other local and international experts who will evaluate the projects entered in the competition.

“I have been following Moldova’s tech ecosystem for many years, and I believe we are seeing more and more teams capable of turning strong ideas into competitive products. As someone who works closely with AI and continuously follows global technology trends, I am particularly interested in seeing how these technologies are being integrated into solutions developed here in Moldova. MITP Awards gives me the opportunity to discover new products, ambitious teams, and perhaps Moldova’s next tech solutions with international potential,” says Vitalie Eșanu, CEO of Evisoft and member of the MITP Awards 2026 jury.

The evaluation process will run until October 22, after which 12 finalists will be selected - three from each of the four competitive categories. The fifth distinction, the Special Jury Prize, will be awarded to one of the 12 finalists at the jury’s discretion, with the winner to be revealed during the final event.

12 Finalists, a Pitch Demo Day and the MITP Awards Gala

The competition will culminate on December 16, 2026, at maib park in Chișinău. During the first part of the day, the 12 finalists will present their products, services, startups, and initiatives at the Pitch Demo Day, in front of the jury and audience. Later that evening, the MITP Awards 2026 Gala will take place, where the winners of the third edition will be announced.

Each winner will receive a EUR 3,000 cash prize, along with additional opportunities and benefits provided by the competition’s partners, including participation in international conferences and other valuable prizes designed to support their further development and visibility.

Launched in 2023, MITP Awards is a competition organized by Moldova Innovation Technology Park to identify, recognize, and promote innovative products, services, startups, and initiatives developed in the Republic of Moldova. MITP Awards 2026 marks the third edition of the competition.
